Activities that bring people together
Our recreation team keeps a full calendar, and Wednesday happy hour brings live entertainment every week. A music therapist visits often, and the music room is open to anyone who fancies a ukulele or a turn at the keyboard. Tastings come round every other Tuesday in The Court, and there is a wine-making club, gardening, cards, and the bus out for park visits and long lunches.
Cultivating community, every day
The gazebo at The Court is a shaded spot to sit a while, with garden beds raised to wheelchair height so anyone can get their hands in the soil. Benches and a walking path run behind the property, where residents go to sit among the trees and watch for the deer and rabbits that pass through.
Connect over a meal
Friendships tend to start around the dining table, and mealtimes are among the friendliest hours of the day. Our younger intergenerational residents often pull up a chair to eat and catch up with their neighbours.
